Autoheart unveil new single “Sad Divide”

UK-based queer indie-pop trio Autoheart have returned with their latest single, “Sad Divide”, accompanied by an animated video from Alex Benson, the artist behind the viral Dang project. The track is the first glimpse of the band’s upcoming fourth album, set for release this summer.

Produced by the band and mixed by longtime collaborator Danton Supple (Coldplay, Alabama 3). With a mix of atmospheric Americana and the raw emotion of 90s alt-pop, Autoheart creates a hauntingly immersive sound here. The result is a rich, atmospheric track.

“We wanted to capture that feeling of trying to bridge a gap that feels impossible to cross,” says lead vocalist Jody Gadsden.

Drawing inspiration from their recent sell-out tour across the United States, the song reflects the landscapes and emotions they encountered along the way. With its mix of melancholy and euphoria, “Sad Divide” showcases Autoheart’s signature ability to turn deeply personal themes into something universal.

The track and music video is out now, giving fans a taste of what’s to come from the London-based group’s next chapter.
