Australian indie rock band DMA’s have announced a headline show at The Academy in Dublin on 20 February 2027 as part of their newly revealed UK and Ireland tour.
The concert will mark the final date of the tour, which begins in Southampton on 1 February and includes a London performance on 12 February before concluding in the Irish capital. Doors for the Dublin show are scheduled to open at 7pm.
The tour announcement follows news that the trio’s upcoming self-titled album will be released later this year. Ahead of the album launch, DMA’s have shared a new single, Hurracane, alongside an accompanying music video.
Speaking about the track, band member Matt Mason said: “Hurracane has a recurrent musical motion that’s a nod to the song lyrically and we used the idea of a displacing storm to tell the story leaning into a style that we hadn’t recorded ourselves before.”
The self-titled album will be released through Wonderlick Recording Company, Sony Music Australia and RCA UK. It will also include previously released songs My Baby’s Place and Heatin Park.
The album was written and recorded between the band’s studio in Glebe, Sydney, and Los Angeles. DMA’s co-produced much of the project with Grammy Award-nominated producer Lach Bostock of Mansionair, with additional contributions from Jimi Somewhere and Styalz Fuego.
DMA’s have built a strong international following through extensive touring and appearances at major festivals including Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Coachella, Lollapalooza and Splendour in the Grass.
The band’s new record follows four previous studio albums: Hills End (2016), For Now (2018), The Glow (2020) and How Many Dreams? (2023). Their last two releases reached No. 4 and No. 3 respectively on the UK Albums Chart.
Over the course of their career, DMA’s have accumulated more than 500 million streams, earned multiple ARIA Award nominations and won Best Group at the 2023 ARIA Awards. The trio have also placed 13 songs in triple j’s annual Hottest 100 countdown.
Tickets for the UK and Ireland tour go on sale at 10am on 12 June through the band’s official website.
