Florence Road have climbed to the top of this week’s Pure M Music Video Chart Top 20 with their latest single, ‘Hanging Out To Dry’. The video, released on May 1, entered the chart at number three before rising to the top spot this week.
The track appears on the Wicklow band’s Spring Forward EP, which was released in March. The accompanying video was filmed entirely in New York and directed by Kate Poling-Cummings, giving the single a sharp visual backdrop to match the band’s growing profile.
Production credits for the video include editing and grading by Sean Schmitt, with Francesca Costa serving as commissioner and Paddy Renehan leading marketing duties.
The band are also preparing to launch their headline UK and Ireland tour next week. The run of dates will conclude with two sold-out shows: Belfast’s Limelight on May 26 and Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on May 27. Selling out the 3Olympia while still early in their career is no small feat.
Further live appearances are scheduled across the summer. Florence Road will join Addison Rae for her headline performance at Dublin’s Irish Museum of Modern Art on June 3. They are also set to support Kings of Leon and Two Door Cinema Club on selected dates later this year.
With a chart-topping video, sold-out headline dates and a busy summer schedule ahead, Florence Road continue to establish themselves as one of Ireland’s fastest-rising young bands.
