Chris Jericho- and Rich Ward-led rock act Fozzy have just released a new single called “Spotlight” via Madison Records / The Orchard.
Speaking about the new song, which was produced by Johnny Andrews and mixed by Jacob Hanson, Jericho said, “On the heels of our fifth consecutive top ten hit, ‘I Still Burn’, our new song, ‘Spotlight’, pushes the boundaries of Fozzy’s sound while still retaining the punch and maximum riffage you’ve come to expect! And with the Fozzy mindset of the triple hook rule, I still can’t stop humming the damn thing after dozens of listens! This is going to be the perfect tune to sing along to live and in your car for a long time to come! It’s time to turn on the spotlight!”
The band has also premiered an official music video for “Spotlight”, which features Jericho orchestrating hundreds of drones that light up the night sky.
As for how Fozzy’s new song sounds, “Spotlight” is a mighty metal mosh-inducer that showcases a superbly spirited synthesis of consistently captivating magnificently melodic verses, choruses, and vocal and instrumental exhibitions, all of which are delightfully animated and terrifically stirring, with the outcome being a brilliantly passionate and extremely thrilling alt-rock offering that boasts tremendously expressive and tuneful singing, and remarkably skilful and riveting instrumentation.
