Hail The Ghost return with powerful new single ‘Seeps’

Irish post-rock trio Hail The Ghost are back with a stirring new track, Seeps, their first original release in four years and arguably their strongest yet.

Led by frontman Kieran O’Reilly, best known for his past acting roles and recent solo work, the band has been quiet since 2020. Aside from a 2023 collaboration with Irish artist Eurelle, on the tracks Bloodflow and Dopamine, O’Reilly’s focus shifted briefly to his debut solo album. Now, Hail The Ghost are back on familiar ground with a sound that’s grown deeper and more cinematic.

Seeps is the first in a series of new releases that will build toward the group’s third studio album. The track blends moody, atmospheric layers with a strong emotional core. Eamonn Young’s echoing guitar work floats above textured piano from Ian Corr, while O’Reilly’s rich baritone vocals cut through the haze with a haunting calm.

The track was recorded at JAM Studios in Kells, County Meath, with longtime producer and musician Martin Quinn behind the desk. The result is a song that feels both raw and carefully crafted, a slow-burning piece of post-modern rock with flashes of light in the gloom.

Hail The Ghost have always been about feel and mood rather than hooks or choruses. Seeps keeps that spirit alive, but with more depth and confidence than ever before. It’s a promising start to the next chapter for a band that continues to evolve without losing sight of their sound.
