Irish singer/songwriter Pauric O’Meara has just unveiled a brand single called “Don’t Try Hard”.
The new song shines the light over people who both “try too hard” in life, and those that are labelled as “trying too hard” when an effort is made.
O’Meara wrote this song last year when a best friend was blanked by the love of their life, and Pauric, in his humour, brought up that maybe they were trying too hard, which sparked the debate, “What are people really looking for? How do we find the balance? Between trying ‘too hard’ and not at all? Why does it seem like the people who care less get more?”
This universal feeling is brought to life through clever lyrics and imagery creation, and is heightened by the high energy, indie/funk twist where smacking snares and fluid guitar and bass melodies bring the reality of the theme to life.
O’Meara says, “No matter what way you act, someone will talk it down. We will never please everyone in this life, so just be you, and youl please the most important person, yourself.”
The delightfully lively three minute composition showcases a captivating combination of wonderfully animated and energetic stanzas, and magnificently vigorous and zestful choruses, all of which feature fantastically expressive and terrifically tuneful vocals, and magnificently upbeat and invigorating instrumentation, with the outcome of all this being a brilliantly passionate pop piece that’s packed with enthusiasm and feeling, and, consequently, it’s sure to catch the attention of a large amount of music lovers.
