London’s indie rock band, The Great Leslie, are gearing up to drop their highly anticipated fourth EP, Repeat, Repeat, Repeat, featuring the electrifying single “These Days”. This track marks the second release from the EP and has been polished to perfection at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.
Frontman Ollie Trevers pulls no punches with “These Days”, describing it as a piercing commentary on the ongoing culture wars that dominate today’s social landscape. He notes, “It promotes accountability for the substance of what you say and acknowledges that free speech will always come with a cost.”
The Great Leslie has been building serious momentum since their inception, especially as 2024 approaches. Their previous EP, Heavy Unsteady, captured significant attention and was bolstered by live performances on BBC Radio and XS Manchester. The band has also shared the stage with pop-rock luminary James Blunt at Germany’s Stimmen Festival and indie legends Franz Ferdinand in Manchester.
With a staggering 5.2 million views on YouTube and over 600,000 streams on Spotify, Repeat, Repeat, Repeat is poised to propel their already burgeoning career even further.
Last year, The Great Leslie’s debut EP, The End and The Beginning, made a notable splash, with tracks landing on key Spotify Editorial playlists like “All New Rock” and “Rock the World”. One standout reached number two on the iTunes Alternative Charts and topped the aBreak 58 chart. Their second EP, 21st Century Problems, was equally well-received, garnering accolades from fans and industry veterans, including Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran. They capped off the year with a live album, Live From Studio Two, recorded at Abbey Road.
In 2022, the band released three singles that found homes on Apple’s global “New in Rock” playlist and Spotify’s “Hot New Bands” playlist. Their debut single, “Money”, was hailed as BBC Introducing’s Track of the Week, further catching the ears of influential figures like Amy Lamé of BBC R6, the late Janice Long on BBC Wales, and John Kennedy on Radio X. Their infectious tunes have even graced shows like Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and Made In Chelsea.
With a robust track record and a fanbase that continues to grow, The Great Leslie is on a mission to redefine indie rock. As they prepare to unveil Repeat, Repeat, Repeat, listeners can expect a powerful blend of socially conscious lyrics and a sound that is unapologetically their own.
