Belfast alternative artist YINYANG has released the official music video for her latest single ‘Think About It’.
The track continues her blend of punk-influenced hip-hop and electronic production, combining heavy beats with dark, club-inspired textures. The accompanying video was shot in Belfast with D3rk Matter behind the camera.
YINYANG’s work sits within the city’s underground music scene, where she has developed a profile as a genre-blending performer drawing on elements of hip-hop, punk and electronic music. Her style is defined by high-energy production and a focus on performance-led visuals.
Think About It explores themes of self-expression, independence and personal freedom. The track’s lyrics focus on resisting social pressure and reclaiming control in everyday life, set against a fast-moving, electronic-driven sound.
Speaking about the release, YINYANG described the song as reflecting “freedom and mental liberation in a world designed to keep people small, distracted, doubtful and disconnected from themselves.” The track encourages self-expression and confidence, framed through an assertive, club-influenced production style.
The single draws on influences from 1990s rave culture as well as contemporary alternative and electronic music. Its production combines rapid percussion, bass-heavy electronics and vocal delivery that shifts between spoken and melodic sections.
In recent months, YINYANG has performed at a number of live events, including support slots for acts such as Gurriers, The Scratch, Meryl Streek, YARD and Fat Dog, as well as a UK tour with Shelf Lives. Her collaborative track Ecdysis with YARD was also featured in the film The Surfer starring Nicolas Cage.
Upcoming live appearances include a performance at the Forbidden Fruit festival in Dublin on 30 May and a support slot for Cupcakke at The Academy on 7 June.
Think About It is available now on streaming platforms.
