Ireland’s Eurovision 2022 representative Brooke Scullion has just dropped another brand new single, following up her fantastically vigorous Eurovision entry tune, “That’s Rich”, as well as subsequent extremely enthralling tune “Tongues”, which dropped to stream and download in late May.
The latest song from Brooke, who originally caught the public’s attention when she competed and became a finalist in The Voice UK two years ago and has subsequently accumulated millions of streams of her music online as well as acclaim and attention from the likes of BBC Introducing and numerous Spotify editorial playlists including New Music Friday, Global Viral Charts and New Pop UK Playlists, is an entrancing pop ballad called “Heartbreaker” that was written by its exceedingly talented performer along with Lleo/Lucy Whittaker, Naomi Hammerton and Karl Zine.
Speaking about her new tune, which was inspired by the 1975, in a statement published in the description section below the song’s official music video on YouTube, Brooke said, “‘Heartbreaker’ is written from the perspective of preempting pain. Every relationship begins with the intention of a future but unfortunately this dream scenario doesn’t always last. Heartbreaker explores how to end a relationship, without hurting someone which is a scenario everyone can relate to.
“I think people will enjoy the alternative perspective of the song – in a way it’s an ‘anti break-up song,’ where you consider your partner’s feelings while prioritising your own.”
The entrancing three minute offering opens with an enticingly soft and extremely stirring stanza that showcases captivatingly harmonious singing alongside soothing instrumentation ahead of a spellbindingly passionate chorus consisting of splendidly spirited vocals and terrifically animated music.
A second enticingly soft and extremely stirring verse follows from here before the spotlight shifts to another spellbindingly passionate chorus once again consisting of splendidly spirited vocals and terrifically animated music that transitions smoothly into an exceedingly impactful climactic exhibition of fantastically vigorous singing and marvellously energetic instrumentation.
Brooke has delivered yet another remarkably riveting and impressively passionate pop tune here that’s full of feeling and vigour. Like its artist’s previous musical offerings, its irresistibly engrossing combination of awesomely zestful and tremendously melodic singing and immensely mellifluous and enormously absorbing music is guaranteed to attract a vast and varied listenership, and is sure to move its artist even further up the ladder to super stardom, and deservedly so, because she definitely has the talent that it takes to make it to the top.
