Last week, global rock superstars Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool – aka iconic punk band Green Day – returned with a fiery call to action on “The American Dream Is Killing Me”, the first single and opening track from the legendary trio’s forthcoming fourteenth full length record, Saviors, which is due to drop on January 19th, 2024, via Reprise/Warner Records.
Now, Billie, Mike and Tré have officially shared details about their massive 2024 global stadium tour with support from with the illustrious rock luminaries The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas in North America, and Nothing But Thieves, The Hives, Donots, The Interrupters and Maid of Ace in Ireland, the UK and Europe.
The Saviors Tour, fuelled by Monster Energy, kicks off with the European run on May 30th in Monte De Gozo, Spain, and travels through France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, the Netherlands and the UK before reaching the Ireland for what is sure to be yet another unforgettable rock show at Dublin’s Marlay Park on June 27th, 2024. The North American run, produced by Live Nation, begins shortly after on July 29th at Nationals Park in Washington, DC and makes 27 stops across North America in cities such as Toronto, ON; New York, NY; Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; Los Angeles, CA; Phoenix, AZ; San Francisco, CA, and many more before wrapping up in San Diego, CA, at Petco Park on September 28.

Speaking about their upcoming album and tour, Green Day delared, “We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors, a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together. So let’s thrash. We’ve got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride!”
The tour will be a larger-than-life, career-spanning celebration of one of the biggest musical acts of all time and some of the most important albums in history. 2024 marks both the 30th anniversary of Green Day’s 1994 certified Diamond album, Dookie, and the 20th anniversary of 2004’s juggernaut, American Idiot. Each a cultural phenomenon in its own right, these albums have remained at the forefront of punk culture since their release. With blazing guitars and electrifying vocals, Green Day are ready to bring their mind-blowing collection of hits to stadiums across the planet, along with plenty of additions from their newly announced album, Saviors.
The trio started dropping hints about their soon-to-be-released fourteenth studio album, Saviors, at a surprise show at Las Vegas’s Fremont Country Club, surrounded by a crowd of 800 die-hard fans. During their Las Vegas takeover, which also included commanding headline performances at When We Were Young Festival, the band debuted two killer new tracks: the first single “The American Dream Is Killing Me” and the brand new “Look Ma, No Brains!,” out today.
As for how the two singles sound, Green Day have gifted the world a pair of wonderfully rousing and invariably riveting punk rock masterpieces in the past week that are an utter joy to listen to all the way through. Packed with spectacularly passionate and spellbindingly euphonious singing, tremendously impactful and meaningful lyrics, and exceptionally skilful, stirring and mellifluous instrumentation, both “The American Dream Is Killing Me” and “Look Ma, No Brains!” are guaranteed to go down well with Billie, Mike and Tré’s established enthusiasts as well as with anyone who enjoys exceedingly melodious, catchy and energising music in general, and once you get your first taste of their indescribable awesomeness, you’re likely to want to listen to them over and over and over ad infinitum again.
