Brooke: Overload (Single Review)

At the end of September of last year, Ireland’s Eurovision 2022 representative Brooke Scullion dropped her debut EP, Chaotic Heart, following up her fantastically vigorous Eurovision entry tune, “That’s Rich”, as well as subsequent extremely enthralling tunes “Tongues”  and “Heartbreaker”, which dropped to stream and download in late May and August, respectively.

Then, just two weeks after the arrival of the inaugural compilation from Brooke, who originally caught the public’s attention when she competed and became a finalist in The Voice UK two years ago and has subsequently accumulated millions of streams of her music online as well as acclaim and attention from the likes of BBC Introducing and numerous Spotify editorial playlists including New Music Friday, Global Viral Charts and New Pop UK Playlists, the exceedingly talented singer/songwriter unveiled a brand new music video the fifth and final track on Chaotic Heart“Enough”, before going on to unveil another entrancing tune titled “Come Alive” at the start of 2023, and yet another one earlier this month named “Being Alone”.

Now, just three weeks after she released her riveting last single, Brooke has dropped a brand new composition called “Overload”.

Just like the five tracks of which Chaotic Heart is composed as well as “Come Alive” and “Being Alone”, Brooke’s latest musical offering is a mesmerizingly melodious and massively moving creation that consists of an irresistibly engrossing combination of awesomely zestful and tremendously melodic singing and immensely mellifluous and enormously absorbing music that is guaranteed to attract a vast and varied listenership, and, as has been the case with all of Brooke’s material to date, it’s sure to elevate its artist even further up the ladder to super stardom, and as usual deservedly so, because, as I’ve said before and will no doubt continue to say until she ascends to the highest rung, she definitely has the talent that it takes to make it to the top.

You can listen to “Overload” via its official audio visual video below.

“Overload” is also available to stream on Spotify and download now.
